Mild steel balustrade made with 16mm infills with a top railing and connections to the main staircase.

Constraints / challenges?

This complex project required all of our knowledge as we only supplied the balustrade which was fixed to a timber structural base. This added several challenges as the softwood base needed additional structural support, so the services of a Structural Engineer were needed.

Fabrication Detail:

Our Team surveyed the site with our
3D scanner that allowed us to craft a
mild steel balustrade made from 16mm
infills with a top railing and connections
to the main wooden staircase.

Installation Detail:

Our in-house Installation Team attended
the site to install the balustrades. Their
years of experience were needed
as the soft timber base resulted in
some unwanted movement in the
balustrades. Thankfully after some small
adjustments and a slight change to the
design we were able to complete the
project on time and on budget.
