Battersea Park Phase 3

Fabrication Detail:

The handrails and the tree grilles were all designed and manufactured in our London workshop. We attended the site to survey the varying height levels of the ground and worked in partnership with Maylim to agree a handrail design that overcame the uneven ground. Whilst we weren’t asked to supply the lighting system, we designed the handrail to incorporate what was chosen and worked to spec to ensure that this fitted perfectly. We supplied the handrail with clear instructions for the Team at site to simply feed the wires into the handrail with the lighting units clipping perfectly in place.

Installation Detail:

In November, the Maylim team commenced work on the next phase of the Battersea Power Station masterplan, phase 3B.

After the grand opening of the iconic Battersea Power Station in October, works on the major redevelopment are still in full swing. Phase 3B is a mixed-use scheme designed by acclaimed architects Foster + Partners and Adamson Associates. Located South of the Grade-II listed power station, the development consists of 1,300 new homes and a new high street known as The Electric Boulevard.

Principal Contractor Sir Robert McAlpine appointed Maylim as the scheme’s landscape contractor. Maylim’s remit includes the design, supply and installation of hard and soft landscaping on the ground floor, podium and terraces.

The Maylim project team installed the handrails and tree grilles that we designed and manufactured. They used their own installation Team who have been onsite for a number of months.
