Details of the Design

Bespoke glass staircase, designed to fit existing space.

Who is the user?

Customers at a high-end Mayfair shop.

Constraints / challenges?

Access was one of the greatest constraints for this project as our Team had to install at night as the shop was open to customers. Our Team also had to work around the old, tired staircase and replace with the new staircase whilst causing the minimum amount of disruption to shop staff and customers.

Fabrication Detail:

Double skin stringers creating a glass support system. Folded steel treads and glass balustrade with stainless steel capping.

Installation Detail:

This was a typical project for the
Elite Metal Group as we surveyed,
manufactured and installed the
project. By overseeing every aspect we
exceeded the needs and expectations
of the client.

Why was the Elite Metal Group chosen for this project?

This project required a vast amount of glass and highly experienced designers and fitters due to the complex nature of the project. The lead Architect, Grego Chiarotti immediately knew that this was a project for the Elite Metal Group and so involved us within Project discussions very early on. We were thrilled to win this project as it called upon all of our experience making sure that the heat folded by hand glass was perfect to match the aesthetics within the shop.

The Finished project

Our staircase looks absolutely stunning within this beautiful Mayfair clothing shop. The design is modern, innovative and contemporary – just like the products on sale within the Bosideng store.

At the Elite Metal Group we really enjoy working with a range of materials including the complex glass used in this project. The end result is absolutely stunning.
